Okay it's been a while and my daily questions aren't so daily... but I warned ya ;) I'd rather save up some good ones than ask you something lame like "What is your favorite color?" Bleh!
This time we are going to paint this scene for you.
It's early in the season, so you aren't in a Mall visiting old Saint Nick. You're in a private booth, someplace seedy and dark. You are indeed sitting on his lap (you are so naughty like that aren't you).

Santa and You.... What are You Wishing For?
Myself? I will be wishing for either a new (even slightly used will be okay) car or a Canon 1DS Mark II... and a box of Kleenex.

It's your last meal.... what are you having?
What am I having?
A big giant Australian Rock Lobster tail with clarified European butter and a 4 inch high filet mignon cooked medium rare Argentinian grill style and slathered with bearnaise. Roasted root vegetables, Caesar Salad and a nice slice of rustic chewy peasant bread on the side. For dessert... (damn this one is hard to pick) I think I am going to go with a Brownie hot fudge sundae with real thick creamy vanilla ice cream.
Everyone needs some of this kind of time. It is the time that you have just to yourself, it's selfish time, recharging time... it's Me-Time.
KQOTD: Where or How do you spend your Me-Time?
How do I spend my me time.... it is sitting in the corner windows in the loveseat bundled up sipping on an Izze or a warm Thai Tea reading and being inspired by cookbooks and food magazines. If it's not that, it's playing a mission based video game like Tomb Raider (which I am currently thoroughly enjoying as brain candy for an hour or two each night right now).

Yeah.... I'm a sucker for these silly prying question thingies.
Will I ask these daily? Maybe... maybe not, I'll probably ask you these things when my prying curiosity gets the best of me though. This is the first one and certianly not the last!
KQOTD: What is your most invaluable Kitchen Tool?
This is the thing that you use damn near everyday and now that you have
it, you would go into fits and convulse if it ever became lost or
someone took it from you.
I can not cook without them anymore. I have two pairs so I always have one handy. No need to pierce meat and let the juices run out. No scars in your tender veggies from the edge of a spoon mushing up against them. No burning your fingers taking a hot piece of garlic toast off the oven rack.... oh yes. My tongs.
I used to be of school of thought where a good ole fork or a spatula was good enough to do the trick. Oh my friends, not so. I use my tongs for so many things, such as pinching sneaky hands trying to steal a taste and for no slip-off-the-fork-prematurely or slide-off-the-spoon-gaddmit plating. Turning grease spitting angry food with the long reach of the tongs keeping my fingers safe from burns.
I have the OXO Good Grips tongs with a locking thingy to keep the tongs shut when not in use and they have a nice nylon head that is super good for non-stick cookware (Just like the ones in the picture but mine have blue grippy thingies on the end). Yes.... tongs. I love them.
